Time and effort has paid off for Gloria Hibbett whose garden won the grand champion exhibit in the highly contested home garden competition for the Gympie Garden Expo. Winners will throw open their gates to delight expo visitors this weekend to share their garden skills.
Henry and Dell Kross won the new category for Over 75s, with Joyce Shanks placed second and third place awarded to Neville Sorensen. The Novice Section gave first prize to Sue Spork, followed by Henry and Dell Kross then Noela Kurtz in third.
The Country section, for gardens over an acre, went again to Henry and Dell Kross, followed by Joyce Shanks in second place. The Town section, was for those under an acre, and went to Gloria Hibbett, followed by Sue Spork and Gladys Gear in third.
